Welcome to... Go Away, I'm Gardening!

I am a master gardener. I think my desire and love of gardening began at a young age. Ever since I was little, I remember my Dad taking care of his vegetable garden. Railroad ties encompassed the garden the length of our property. The Oklahoma summers brought us tomatoes, eggplant, onions, peppers, etc. To this day, I can say I have never had a better tomato than my Dad's. As a young girl, I would stand right next to him and watch him at work. I would help him water and collect the vegetables. At that time, I didn't appreciate his "love" of gardening as I see it today. I look back on fond memories of helping and learning from my Dad.

After moving to Texas, I have found myself designing our garden from scratch and watching the magic happen as it grows into beautiful architecture. I'm absolutely in awe of all the variety of plants that flourish in central Texas!

Go Away, I'm Gardening! focuses on plants that are native and adapted to Central Texas. They are proven winners for a successful garden. My garden is chemical free and I only use organic, safe methods on my garden and lawn. I hope you enjoy looking at my blog. It has been a lot of fun to post and I also have a deep desire to share my knowledge with others.

Thank you for visiting and I would love to hear your comments!
