Lovely light Amy! Beautiful photo! A precious gem for this time of year. Wishing you the Happiest of New Years! May 2011 be your best gardening year yet.
What a fantastic photo of a beautiful flower! I lol at the missing gingerbread trees! You can give a contest and give some seeds to the correct guess, the problem is you can't even rule out who, haha!
I lost most of my bulbine last year, and what I had left was propagated to a variety of places in the yard just in case this winter was as bad as last. Definitely a great plant! The leaves are especially nice in my opinion.
What a pretty little bloom. As for the Gingerbread mystery it will come out someday and everyone will have a great laugh about it. LOL! Happy New Year!
There's no place like Austin, Texas! In this gardening blog, I have tried to focus mainly on native and adapted plants for Central Texas! I think it is the true secret to a successful garden in this great state!

So pretty! I really like the orange blooms.
I have seen ice dripping off bulbine and it keeps on blooming. It is a great plant. Happy New Year!
What a pretty flower! It looks like a picture taken in summer.
Ditto on what Catherine said. I too looked and thought summer at first.
I can imagine there must be much joy in seeing a sunny colored flower at a time like this.
I found a bloom? You're just trying to distract us from your very obvious guilt regarding gingerbreadgate!
Very beautiful!

Great color...so nice to see with all this snow. Think I need some flowers in the house to brighten up the place.
Totally luminous, Amy! I don't know bulbines, but I am off to investigate them shortly. Happy New Year!
Beautiful flower, Amy. Spring can't come quickly enough.
