Our Little Garden Explorer

A very curious, playful puppy has been added to our family. Watching him explore his new home has been very entertaining to say the least. His name is Riley and he is a poodle mixed with terrier (we think). We adopted him from a foster home in San Antonio a couple of months ago.

The photos were taken about three weeks ago and now ...

the warm weather is waking up the garden and the yellow columbines are a welcoming touch of spring!

What is a garden without a dog ;) He's so cute and I bet he'll help you when you have a hole to dig, being half a terrier :)

My sister had a wire haired dog like that but charcoal. Mischief. Pedigreed French poodle with skippertjie. He used to howl when the trains hooted on the level crossings. And was in the newspaper for walking alone, twice, from Camps Bay (with my parents) to Sea Point where my nieces were staying with the other grandparents.

You're right, Tina! He definitely "helps" me with the holes even in places that I don't need one. Right now we have one large hole in the middle of our yard.

Diana.. mischief is a good word! That is amazing that he walked alone and found his own way.

I have two helpful westies in my garden. They keep the elephants away!

You have a cute doggie. Let's see, a poodle terrier mix would be a Perrier (like the water), or a Toodle. :)

Perrier ... that's funny. I'll have to remember that one. He definitely does like the water and is always finding it somewhere outside!

Ah, your little guy is adorable. And your columbines have "SPRING" written all over them. I hope you're doing well.
